100% Natural Chios Mastic Tears is a natural sappy resin from a tree on the Greek island of Chios. Since ancient times it has been revered both for its special aroma and for its healing properties.
True mastic is only produced in the south part of Chios Island. It is a natural resin that forms from the crystallising sap of the mastic tree, which are cultivated without any industrial intervention, chemicals, fertilisers or pesticides. Mastic trees have been cultivated for thousands of years, though not labelled as organic they practise Wild Harvest by hand picking each piece and cleaning by hand.
How does it work?
Chios Mastic Tears could be used to help combat stomach pain, gastric disorders, digestive problems, gastralgia and stomach ulcers.
Australia Trials
Trials in Australia with horses showed promising results in horses with or without health problems.
The observations, found from horse owners who have gave their horses Chios Mastiha, showed consistently up to twenty-one days after commencement of the remedy:
- Increased appetite and enthusiasm for eating any feed presented, in horses who had previously wasted feed or taken hours to consume a small hard-feed regardless of salt content.
- No longer reluctant to consume feeds containing salt and/or magnesium chloride.
- Several horses with long term, diagnosed gastric ulcers have improved rapidly with no other alteration to feed or management,
- Visible increase in coat quality and shine, even in horses still shedding their winter coats.
- Relaxed temperament
According to clinical studies, Chios Mastic Tears are proven to contribute against preventing and treating the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease and is suggested to be the most natural way to treat peptic disorders.
